Project Nomad is a donation program created and run by Outback Mongolia. From every tour booked 10% of the fee (after deducting tour costs) is donated to needy causes within Mongolia.
We have three main routes in Mongolia. All covering a variety of terrain and take us to some truly spectacular country – Mountains, high plateaus, green vallies, desert, lakes and rivers. We see towns great and very small. North to Lake Hovsgol or South to the Govi…or both. Check out the details.

Support Vehicles

All support vehicles are equipped for long range off road travel and carry Water, Fuel, kitchen, camping equipment, porta shower and first aid equipment.


The Support team is able to communicate with Motor cycle tour leader via Stat Phone or radio and can be called upon at any time to assist.

Camping Equipment

Your accommodation during your tour will be a combination of Ger and Tent, all camping equipment is second to none.

On arrival Tour members are issued with their own camping set, this includes tent, sleeping bag and cutlery. The support unit will transport all camping equipment, it also carries a small generator to allow Tour member to charge cameras etc in remote locations.

Your home away from home.

As previously mentioned when not using your tent you will stay in a local Ger camp, camps offer beds, shower facilities and meals.

 

Communications

Our communications equipment consists of satellite phones and UHF radios.

This allows communication between support team and tour leaders, in addition we carry GPS units allowing us to send our pinpoint position if assistance is required.

All our tour leaders carry remote first aid kits at all times on their motor cycles and our support vehicles a full SOS Kit allowing us to provide the best first aid treatment in remote locations.

Our Satellite phones ensure we can contact SOS for advise and if required evacuation.
